Craig Finn announces tour behind first solo project
More Just Announced
It was just about a week ago that Hold Steady singer Craig Finn released some steamy details about his first solo effort. The record, Clear Heart Full Eyes, “is a juxtaposed reference to Friday Night Lights, a TV show that excited and moved [him] and also happened in Texas,” where the project was recorded. And, as things go, there’s now a tour schedule in place behind the Texas-tinged solo debut, set to begin Feb. 1 in Dallas, (is that somewhere near Dillon, home of the Panthers?) and winding down in late February in Seattle. For most shows on the tour, Finn will be joined by Southern Baptist-tinged Mount Moriah, the North Carolina collab of Heather McEntire and guitarist Jenks Miller, ensuring a hearty evening of Americana. As for The Hold Steady, the group is in the midst of recording its sixth album.
