David Sedaris, Ricky Martin, Josh Groban, Cake Boss doing local book signings

One of these things is not like the other

This is the Cake Boss, not David Sedaris.

What do Ricky Martin and Josh Groban have in common, other than really nice hair? They will both be bombarded by weird (and probably some non-weird) adults at their upcoming signings at two local Borders Bookstores.

Now, 11 years after Ricky Martin’s smash hit “Livin La Vida Loca” came out, he’s decided to release a memoir, creatively titled Me, detailing his childhood, coming to terms with his sexuality, and becoming a father. Tonight, the Lincoln Park Borders will be hosting a reading and signing by the international pop star, which is sure to at least be interesting if nothing else. David Sedaris, whose new book Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary is probably actually worth reading, will also be doing a signing Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.

The State Street Borders is jumping on the bandwagon too, featuring appearances from Josh Groban, who’s just released his new album Illuminations, and TLC’s Cake Boss Buddy Valastro, Nov. 17 and 12, respectively.
