Daily Agenda Dec. 1: Weezer, Friendly Fires

Even though Weezer hasn’t been able to produce a unanimously beloved album since Pinkerton, the band seems more energetic than ever, pumping out polarizing bubble-gum pop and incorporating trampolines into its live show. Now 13 years A.P. (after Pinkerton), Rivers Cuomo and company are touring behind their latest, the Rainn Wilson-named Raditude. Elsewhere, British group Friendly Fires will prove that its combination of heavy instrumentation and clap-happy catchiness sets it apart from the growing hordes of electro-pop bands.
