Desperate times and desperate measures: dead goat found outside Wrigley Field
Just when you thought the Harry Caray statue at Wrigley Field couldn’t be more horrifying, a dead goat was found hanging from it early Monday, The Sun-Times reports (with an awesome sidebar poll asking readers if they think the move will affect the Cubs' curse). But the statue's newfound resemblance to the proverbial Abraham is the least of its concerns; while the sportscaster is lovable for his drunken antics and, um, casting of sports, the statue erected in his memory looks like Caray is emerging from Hell, with the faces of demonic children captured in the flames. You also have to wonder how this incident would have played out if the International Olympic Committee were still in town.
