Pavement Pitchfork Chicago July Union Park Wowee zowee, Chicago gets a Pavement show.

True to its word, Pitchfork has unveiled the first batch of bands for its big-deal festival, and they’re particularly enticing: Pavement, Modest Mouse, St. Vincent, LCD Soundsystem, and Raekwon are just some of the first names rounding out the weekend-long bill. Then again, the first announcement would have to be exciting, as tickets for this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival (taking place July 16 through 18, at Union Park per usual) go on sale today at noon. Single-day passes run $40 and three-day passes cost $90, and you can buy them at www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com. The handful of other bands and the schedule so far is as follows:
