The creative folks over at 826CHI, a non-profit offering free writing and tutoring programs to local kids, have cooked up a Bucktown/Wicker Park scavenger hunt elaborate enough to give Leslie Knope a run for her money. The Clandestine Quest has agencies (teams consisting of one to four people, all over the age of 21) collecting points by completing challenges and deciphering clues that will help unlock a mystery.
Unlike most scavenger hunts, The Clandestine Quest encourages participants to cheat. These hunt-approved cheats must be purchased, thereby ensuring 826CHI’s educating future. Although the costs are a little steep, friends and kindhearted individuals can donate to the agencies. Participants should sign up before the event takes place, March 10 at noon. And, don’t worry; there will be some prizes given to the most advanced detectives.
