Gwyneth Paltrow loves Schwa and Steve Albini has a food blog

Everyone knows that, of course, Chicago has an amazing food scene, but apparently word’s been spreading out Hollywood way. Burgeoning country singer and one-time head-in-a-box Gwyneth Paltrow was in the Windy City last week and hit up a bunch of local hot spots, including Schwa and The Publican. In her GOOP newsletter, Paltrow writes that she simply adored Schwa’s “hot waiters in skater clothes” and “classic American comfort food by way of Ferran Adria/Banksy/Tony Hawk.”
In unrelated and yet somehow related news, Greg Kot alerted the world via Twitter last night that Shellac frontman and uber-engineer Steve Albini has been keeping a food blog since March. Titled Mario Batali Voice, the blog details fancy meals Albini makes for himself and his wife Heather, spanning everything from grape leaves to tomato soup. Albini even whips up his own excellent Italian pasta.
