Hannibal Buress at Zanies in July
More Just Announced
Now that the city is no longer a frozen tundra of doom, a stand-up comedian is returning to his Chicago roots, taking a break from the chaotic streets of New York City. No, it’s not Tina Fey. Rather, it’s the person that makes 30 Rock characters like Liz Lemon make us laugh: writer Hannibal Buress, who has writing gigs at Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock under his belt. As a part of his My Name Is Hannibal Tour—named after his excellent comedy record—Buress will be taking over Zanies Comedy Club July 6-10 and July 13-17. During this span of 10 days, he will be performing a whopping 16 shows. Hopefully, the tour won’t suck him dry of funny material for 30 Rock writing. To purchase tickets, visit the venue’s site.
