Hannibal Buress supposedly leaving SNL to write for 30 Rock
The Comic's Comic is reporting that Chicago-bred comedian Hannibal Buress has left his writing position at Saturday Night Live to move on over to the writing staff of 30 Rock, presumably starting for this fall's TV season.
Buress hasn't said anything on his Twitter or Tumblr about the switch, but considering he was pretty under-used at SNL—he only wrote a few skits that aired this year, like the Charles Barkley golf sketch—this is probably a pretty good move.
To toot his horn a little more, Buress' comedy record, My Name Is Hannibal, is getting pretty great reviews, including an 8.0 on Pitchfork to some pretty flattering comments from The A.V. Club.
