Ever wondered about the nuances of the age-old art of panhandling? Given the current state of the job market, it does seem oh-so-terrifyingly tempting. And Hobo 101—the New School of all things hobo—is back again this year to teach interested parties all they need to know. How can someone go wrong with classes such as “Panhandling vs. Mooching,” “Riding the Rails: Over, Under, or In,” and “The American Tramp, Then and Now?”

Homeroom—a non-profit on a mission to encourage and facilitate new creative programming in Chicago—is organizing the event, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 9 p.m. (for free!) at the Hungry Brain. Real life hobos will be on hand to answer questions.

For the record, this event is B.Y.O. bindle.
