Inaugural Quenchers Soundtrack Serenade to celebrate High Fidelity
For all the Chicago music lovers and cinephiles out there, Soundtrack Serenade has announced that, on June 14, the series will open with a Chicago-gasm. The inaugural event will feature local band Androgynous Mustache covering the soundtrack of High Fidelity, a movie filmed in Chicago and starring Chicagoland-native actor John Cusack. The live music and themed partying for Soundtrack Serenade will then take over Quenchers on the second Tuesday of every month, with Chicago jazz and rock musicians covering various movie soundtracks.
High Fidelity has a star-studded soundtrack including tracks from legendary Bob Dylan, 13th Floor Elevators, and The Beta Band. It was even nominated for a 2001 Grammy. Stay tuned to see the new and dubiously named seven-piece Androgynous Mustache try its hand at this masterpiece compilation album.
