Is Broken Social Scene playing on a Heineken billboard in Chicago tomorrow?
Here's hoping they all fit.
Is Broken Social Scene playing in Chicago tomorrow night? Better yet, are they playing for free on a Heineken billboard somewhere conveniently located?
So far, our sources have been a little cagey about the whole thing, but here’s what we know:
• For the past week or so, Heineken’s publicists have been teasing us about “a memorable event” tomorrow night at 6 p.m., “exact details coming soon.” Today, Heineken sent out a reminder that news was coming, along with the link to this video:
When asked if TV On The Radio was playing Chicago’s very own billboard— wherever that might be and if anyone knows, we’re ready to hear it—the source replied that they “didn’t say that,” but that we were “getting warmer!”
• Monday, on Twitter, Broken Social Scene said, “Going to Chicago for a beer on Wednesday,” and asked fans if they wanted to join. Today, the band wrote, “Thinking about setting the gear up with the band and playing a show. Chicago, you ready for that.”
Call us crazy, but we’re going to just assume the beer Kevin Drew and company are thinking of having tomorrow is a Heineken, presumably on a billboard, while people watch a show. All signs point to that, at least.
According to Heineken’s publicists, more information about the actual event will be released sometime tomorrow.
