Newswire Jane's Addiction steals away on a mini-tour to promote new album

These guys probably do yoga.

At this point, Jane’s Addiction has broken up and gotten back together twice, both times cashing in on the big reunion tour bucks. Sure, that sets a terrible example for other sort of broken-up bands to just keep toying with fans’ hearts—looking at you, Pixies—but no one really harbors illusions anymore about Perry Farrell and company being ethically driven artists.

It’s apt, then, that in support of its new record, The Great Escape Artist, Jane’s Addiction will be playing six upcoming underplay shows in partnership with credit card giant Citi. Cardholders have first crack at tickets for the dates. The Chicago dates—Sept. 24 and 25 at Metro—have tickets on pre-sale now for those lucky few, and the tickets will go on sale to the general public Sept. 10 at noon. The band will also play small-ish shows in New York and Los Angeles, but those dates haven’t been announced yet.
