Joe Pug releases free EP In The Meantime
Lollapalooza tickets might drain $200 from your bank account, but nice guy musician Joe Pug just wants to hand out free music like the sample lady at Costco. Starting June 25, Pug, who plays the festival and an after-show at The Hideout on August 8, offers his latest EP, In The Meantime, for no cost on his website. The laidback, folky five-track download is a calming fit for these brutal summer nights. If you like what you hear, but aren’t heading to Lollapalooza, Pug opens for Steve Earle at Park West tonight. That show, however, ain’t free. (Hey, the guy’s gotta make some money.)
