Fictional hair band Spinal Tap—the brainchild of improv masters Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer—has appeared all over the place since the 1984 "rockumentary" This Is Spinal Tap: They've played Saturday Night Live, been drawn into a Simpsons episode, and even played a 2007 reunion show in London.
