Just say no to long lines: Introducing A.V. Club's @WaitWatcher
For when you want to know how big of a hassle it will be to eat out

Everyone loves Hot Doug's, right? (If you don't, do you also lure children to your gingerbread house?) And as much as owner/patron saint of encased meats Doug Sohn likes to talk about the "experience" of going to Doug's (i.e., waiting in the usually long-ass line), some of us just want to get our delicious, delicious food and get going.
That's why Decider has created Wait Watcher (@WaitWatcher) a new Twitter service designed to help you save time. Here's how it works: Follow us at Twitter. When you're waiting in line at your favorite places, send us a message (via Twitter, voice/text at 620-CHI-WAIT, or email at editorial@chicago.decider.com). Once you get in, tell us how long you waited, or how long it's taking while you wait, or how long a staff member told you it would take, etc. Also, it's not limited to lines per se. Is the Matchbox too packed to pop in for a drink? Let's hear it. Then we'll send out an update to all of our followers, who can adjust their plans according to your semi-real-time update. We'll send out direct updates when we're out and about as well.
So start today by following us on Twitter. Here's to short lines!
