Know everything there is to know about Chicago’s music scene? Time to take Archaeology Of Chicago Music 101.

Chicago music historians Rob Sevier and Steve Krakow will be unearthing the development of the city’s underground scene and its key players like Arrow Brown (The Godfather of King Drive), The Final Solution, the Ebirac label, J.T. IV, and Spur of the Moment. They’re also set to delve into the city’s underground garage and psychedelic scene of the ’60s, covering bands like The Lemon Drops, Aorta, The Bachs, H.P. Lovecraft, Food, and Nite Owls.

Interested? This mind-expanding conversation and presentation take place Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Hungry Brain. This event is free and is organized by non-profit organization Homeroom with local arts and music podcast You Me Them Everybody.
