Mastodon to ravage the Metro in late April
Experimental metal band Mastodon announced it'll be hitting the road for its upcoming album, Crack The Skye, which is due out on March 24. The tour—which also includes metal bands Kylesa and Los Angeles' Intronaut—comes to Chicago on April 30 at the Metro. Ticket pre-sales start on March 4 at Mastodon's official website, and the sale's password is "CracktheSkye." The band also announced another reason for fans to crack their wallets: Starting on March 10, retailer Hot Topic will sell a limited-edition 12" vinyl of Crack The Skye's "Divinations," because, hey, when you think music, you think Hot Topic, right?
