Mike Kinsella, Patrick Stump’s Cure cover band playing Lincoln Hall

It’s yet to be announced, but we’re going to just go ahead and believe what we read on Twitter: Mike Kinsella from Owen, Joe Trohman and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy, and several other dudes are set to play a bunch of Cure covers at Lincoln Hall Sept. 1. The show will benefit Girls Rock, a music camp for girls between the ages of 8 and 16.

Kerrang was first on this story after noticing some heavy back-and-forth on Twitter between a bunch of rock dudes, including a whole bunch of “If I’m home, I’m in”-type comments. Kinsella appears to be the ringleader, rounding up online and real-life pals like Trohman and Stump, as well as Dustin Currier of The Felix Culpa. As of yet, there’s no set list, but apparently Stump is playing keyboards. There has been no word yet about whether the group will wear Cure costumes, but consider our ballot cast for “Yes, please.”
