Naked Raygun returns to studio, plan first music video in 20 years
Veteran Chicago punk rockers Naked Raygun will head to Transient Sound Studios next week to record the second edition of their 7-inch singles series, set for vinyl and digital release in June on Riot Fest records. The release will mark the second batch of new tunes after the Chicago punk pioneers reunited at Riot Fest in 2006, which prompted a permanent reformation. The press release also mentions Raygun will film a video for one of the new songs—the band's first since the 1990 throwing-stuff-at-brick-walls video for "Home"—and a late-summer European tour. And hopefully, in the midst of a busy year, the dudes will find time to record that proper full-length album the band hinted at last June.
