Welcome to The A.V. Club’s weekly podcast, in which we discuss noteworthy goings-on in town. After a relatively dead week (save for some sort of election), things heat up somewhat in the upcoming days—even if the weather isn't. Girl Talk brings sweaty mash-ups, O'Death some banjo-punk, duo Matt & Kim some organ-tinged pop songs, and Eagles Of Death Metal some crazy-sounding classic-rock. Elsewhere, indie-rock comedian Eugene Mirman records his third album at the Lakeshore during a two-night stint, a group of The Onion writers do a book signing for their tome on kitty-cats, and there's plenty of chances to sample barrel-aged beer over the weekend.
