Pelican announce in-store show, fall tour, hamburger

Pelican If ever a band can inspire a tasty burger, it's the fellas in Pelican.

In anticipation of the Oct. 27 release of its fourth full-length album, What We All Come To Need, Chicago-born instrumental-rock outfit Pelican will do an in-store show Oct. 16 at the Wicker Park Reckless Records location. Afterwards, the group will host a listening party for its new album at Kuma's Corner while simultaneously unveiling its namesake hamburger: a 10-ounce Kobe beef patty with lardoons (basically, a strip of fat) and pan-seared scallops in a garlic white wine sauce on top of a parmesan crisp. It supposedly tastes like metal.

Pelican's fall tour kicks off Oct. 18 in Minneapolis and wraps up Dec. 11 at Empty Bottle.
