Pitchfork Music Fest releases schedule, adds Eugene Mirman and others to first-ever comedy stage
Eugene Mirman, reading something by Chuck Klosterman to reference later at Pitchfork.
In a move that’s sure to make music festival-goers a bit less jaded, Pitchfork Music Fest’s jaunt on July 16 through 18 at Union Park has added a little diversity to its lineup by adding a new comedy stage on Friday only. Les Savy Fav’s bearded Tim Harrington will serve as MC to introduce The Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac, Saturday Night Live’s Hannibal Buress, Comedians Of Comedy Tour veteran Eugene Mirman, and The State’s Chicago Tribune humorist Michael Showalter. Saturday and Sunday have already sold out, and this pretty much assures Friday won’t be far behind.
