Play Rock Band for fame and charity at Lincoln Hall

It’s time to prove wrong all of the haters: cool kids who didn’t appreciate gamers, parents who equated gaming with wasting life, and hippie idealists who held fast to the belief that playing video games would never make the world a better place. At the Chicago Loot Drop on Dec. 15, gamers will have the chance to compete in a charity Rock Band competition at Lincoln Hall in front of a live audience. Some actual musicians train their whole lives and never get a chance to play at Lincoln Hall!

The $30 admission includes two drink tickets and supports the charity Child’s Play. Those who aren’t competing can check out the performances, enjoy the ambiance, and cheer on their favorite bands. Crowd reaction is one of the criteria that the guest judges, members of I Fight Dragons, will consider when they crown the winner. Tickets, band sign-up, and contest details are available at chicagolootdrop.org.
