Just when we were all drying out and beginning to move on from this weekend's hectic Lollapalooza activities, word has come down that a gear-loaded trailer and van belonging to Portland indie poppers and Lolla performers Portugal. The Man were stolen from an attended parking lot near Grant Park after the band's set at the fest yesterday. According to the band's publicist, the van (pictured above) is a, "Red Ford 15 passenger 350 van with black trailer attached, Alaska license plates FJH244." Judging by the long list attached to the press release, it seems like the thieves also made off with most of the band's gear. No word on how any future dates will be affected, but according to the band's website, there are no shows scheduled until September 2. Also, there's no word from the band, the festival, or festival security (who had their hands full with loads of gate-crashers) as to exactly how thieves made off with the van and trailer from an attended parking lot
