Rahm Emanuel likes Jeff Tweedy, Andy Samberg, ramen

It seems like Rahm Emanuel has the whole Chicago “celebrity” contingent on his side. He’s reaped the rewards of a Jennifer Hudson benefit concert, and now he’s got a couple of other star-studded events on the docket.

This Friday, Saturday Night Live cast member and Joanna Newsom love interest Andy Samberg will be in town appearing at a $50-a-head fundraiser for the potential mayor. The event will be held at the Paris Club in River North, and came about, apparently, after Samberg and Emanuel bonded over the comedian’s harsh take on him on an episode of SNL.

In a slightly less shocking matchup, Jeff Tweedy will headline an Emanuel fundraiser Jan. 30 at Park West. Local soul superstars JC Brooks And The Uptown Sound will open. The show’s all ages, but it’s not cheap—Tickets start at $85.

For those with moderately cheaper and more esoteric tastes, there’s always Tumblr. A “Rahmen Emanuel” tumblr just popped up, and, of course, it makes no sense. Basically, it’s just bad photo-edits of Emanuel with ramen noodle hair, but still, it’s funny. Who wouldn’t chuckle at a semi-sensual photo of a ramen-ed Emanuel and former Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi with the caption, “Noodlin’ around with Nancy”? Good times.
