Russian Circles announce new record, Empros
Ready thine ears local metalheads, for Chicago’s own Russian Circles are set to release their fourth full-length effort, Empros. Keeping with the tradition of recording at Humboldt Park studio Phantom Manor, the trio ups the intensity for this album, hardening its sound while simultaneously infusing more emotion.
Another set of six 9-minute epics, Empros is produced by Secret Machines frontman Brandon Curtis, who produced the Circles’ last album, Geneva. At once both heavy and heady, Geneva has a soft touch and tease that’s expected to drizzle all over Empros.
Empros drops October 25.
