Ryan Adams adds December leg to tour
More Just Announced
Ryan Adams put music on hold for two years, and the results have been worth the hiatus. The musician married Mandy Moore, found his way back to songwriting while battling an inner-ear disease, and says he’s totally kicked drugs. Now, he has a new album and a tour to show for it. He’ll hit the road in October upon the release of the significantly mellower Ashes & Fire, now adding a new December leg of the tour. Adams will make stops at Philadelphia’s Academy Of Music and Carnegie Hall in New York. The Chicago stop, Dec. 11 at the Cadillac Palace, goes on sale this Saturday at 10am.
Adams’ new album has already gotten strong reviews, a more meditative, quieter album with far sweeter lyrics than he’s been previously known for. It could be that the new Mrs. Adams had some part in that; NPR called Ashes & Fire “a honeymoon record,” and she even appears on the album. So it wouldn’t be a stretch to predict Moore will probably be making an appearance on Adams’ first post-nuptials tour. Here’s hoping they stick to his music. See the December dates below:
