Christmas freakout time.
Celebrate everything Christmas frugally at 8 p.m. Dec. 17 at Logan Square’s Saki. The combination record store/gallery/performance space will play host to a completely free After Hours Christmas Mansion Holiday Party chock full of all the things people actually enjoy about the holiday.
Chicagoans Ami Saraiya And The Outcome will perform at the party as part of a release show for the forthcoming Purging EP. Unofficial Saki house band Bob Dey’s Tank Engine Man will send a special technology-fueled holiday message to partygoers.
Aside from local music, Saki’s Christmas Mansion Party will feature oodles of holiday goodies, like a cheesy sweater contest, a Christmas cookie potluck, group caroling, and free holiday treats like eggnog and candy canes. Saki has also announced that the event will have a “Christmas freakout room,” hopefully with voodoo dolls of Santa and Hermey the Elf. This free party is also BYOB, so don’t forget to bring some spirits to spike the free ’nog, just the way it was meant to be.
