Screeching Weasel headlines Riot Fest Chicago
A reunited Screeching Weasel is slated to play at the 5th annual Riot Fest Chicago, the five-day, 14-show punk festival running from October 7 to 11 at the Congress Theater. The Weasel’s website states this will be the group's first performance since 2004, when the band reunited after a three-year hiatus to play a short set in Chicago. Alkaline Trio, NOFX, a recently reunited The Murder City Devils, and The Dead Milkmen will also take the stage during the fest.
Five-day passes go on sale Saturday at noon on Ticketweb for $99. Screeching Weasel closes the fest on October 11 with a show at the Congress Theater. If you can’t wait, here’s a taste of its performance at the House Of Blues in 2000:
