See Rise Of The Dead with live commentary by Keith Phipps and Dan Telfer
With the news of the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention finally arming up in preparation for a zombie attack, it’s a great time for The A.V. Club’s Editor Keith Phipps to join Chicago comedians Dan Telfer and Adam Burke in a night of undead commentary on the 2007 zombie flick Rise Of The Dead. The nerdy trio will calmly discuss the matter of brain-devouring doomsday at Wilmette Theatre on June 11. After all, it’s common knowledge that nerds fare relatively well in zombie apocalypses. The showing of Rise Of The Dead will follow Telfer’s stand-up act, which is presented by Chicago Underground Comedy as a part of a monthly stand-up series. It’ll be a great finish to the night, although it might make viewers feel increasingly paranoid and crazy, meaning a long walk home in the fog with a rusty pipe.
