Spoon announces North American tour

One week before the release of their seventh album, Transference, Austin rock darlings Spoon have announced dates for a two-month North American tour. Ever fortunate, The A.V. Club got an advance copy of the album and is happy to report that Transference continues Spoon's legacy in the best way imaginable—and these songs will probably pop all the more live. (You can get in on the early action by checking out NPR's early stream of the album here.) Deerhunter joins Spoon on all dates, The Strange Boys will play all March dates except for the Austin tour-opener, and Micachu & The Shapes will step in for the remainder of the tour.
