Stuff The A.V. Club recently learned about Deadmau5

Deadmau5 could end up being one of the bigger (in terms of attendance) non-festival shows of the year for Chicago. That’s really saying something about the chain-smoking producer, considering that Bob Dylan is playing here soon, too. The A.V. Club has heard songs like “Ghosts ’N’ Stuff” via those incessant ads for the last season of America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV, but we learned some things about the man behind the mouse while watching this interview for Dancetracks Digital:

1. He does not consider himself a DJ.
2. He knows way more about computers than we do.
3. He has an actual story behind his name.
4. He has a good reason for the goofy spelling of his name.
5. He is not the biggest fan of the mouse helmet.
