Summertime and the mash-ups are plenty: The Hood Internet debuts two new mixtapes

Mash-up lovers, rejoice! The Hood Internet announced today that it has released not one, but two new mixtapes for your genre-busting enjoyment. The group collaborated with Anatomy Magazine on the publication’s The Great American Mixtape, overseeing side A of the compilation, which includes a not-to-be-missed Asher Roth/The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart track. Alas, there is a catch: Anatomy—apparently the men’s fashion and lifestyle blog—forces you to sign up for its mailing list in order to access the mixtape download.

Luckily, The Hood Internet has also cooked up a little no-strings-attached something specifically for Summer 2010: The TRILLWAVE mixtape, available for download on the duo's website, is intended to soundtrack your Pitchfork after-after-party, or perhaps the next day’s hangover.

Speaking of Pitchfork, The Hood Internet is getting in on the festival fun with its second annual Dickfork afterparty, Friday night at Darkroom. (Advance tickets are already on sale.) Should you miss The Hood Internet at Dickfork, there's always the duo's upcoming show in, wait for it, South Korea.
