Sundance mini-fest to take place Jan. 28 in eight cities, including Chicago
Do you like the indie films at the Sundance Festival, but don't enjoy the 1,379 mile trek to Utah through the unavoidable pounding blizzard (or just don't enjoy Utah, in general)? Simply stay home on Thursday, Jan. 28: While festivities are going on in Park City, Sundance will send out a program of eight festival selections (titles are TBA) to Music Box Theatre for a one-night mini-fest of sorts, Sundance announced this morning. Sundance founder Robert Redford will grace local audiences with his presence—via a short introductory video, according to Screen Daily. Films for the program will be chosen after Sundance announces the festival lineup in December.
