Like The Oscars? Like The A.V. Club? Live in Chicago? Have we got the event for you.
The A.V. Club’s own Tasha Robinson, who writes clever, opinionated movie reviews and is generally right about things, will present her clever opinions about movies and generally be right about things Monday, Feb. 20, at the Chicago Tribune’s Press Pass: Live Academy Awards Preview In 4D. (Those aforementioned D’s apparently represent daring, dramatic, dangerous, and debonair.) Sure to be the fussy intellectual smackdown of the season, the Oscar preview will include a panel discussion featuring Robinson, Filmspotting co-host Adam Kempenaar, and film critic Richard Knight Jr. from Windy City Times and moderated by Chicago Tribune critic Michael Phillips.
The ultimate battle of film-buff minds will be held at 7 p.m. at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater. Tickets cost $15 each.
