Just Announced The Flaming Lips performing The Soft Bulletin at the Aragon

Now is apparently the time for “Buggin’,” as The Flaming Lips are bringing their traveling freak-out once again. This time—July 7 at the Aragon Ballroom—the band will be playing its classic 1999 album (assuming an 11-year-old record can be classic), The Soft Bulletin, from start to finish. The Lips will also be throwing in a set of other fan favorites, so don’t dismay, Lippy come latelies.

The Soft Bulletin topped numerous “Best of 1999” lists when it came out, is widely considered to have ushered in the second wave of Lips popularity, and was named the third-best record of the ’90s by Pitchfork.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 29 at noon and will run Coyne aficionados a cool $44.58, including service charges. Here’s hoping a large portion of those fees go to extra confetti.
