On our list of the most anticipated albums of 2011 is the latest release from The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, the plucky guitar-pop band that courageously overcame a truly horrible name to release a great self-titled debut in 2008. The band just announced two shows – April 27 and 28 at Lincoln Hall – with Twin Shadow, a group that was just featured in an excellent Daytrotter session you need to download immediately.
We're equally excited about Kings Go Forth, the Milwaukee soul outfit that’s been busy lately touring around the world and writing songs for the follow-up to 2010’s The Outsiders Are Back. The band will take a break from all that to play a show Jan. 21 at the Double Door.
