Local NPR affiliate WBEZ sent out a message to members this afternoon with some inside information: Insanely popular program This American Life will return to the Chicago Theatre at 7 p.m. April 19 to record a live episode.
Host Ira Glass will bring along some TAL favorites like Dan Savage, David Rakoff, Starlee Kine, Mike Birbiglia, and Dave Hill. The announcement also said, semi-cryptically, "several stories will feature extra-special visual components," so prepare for that...?
This American Life has staged similar shows at the Chicago Theatre several times over the past few years, and they always sell out. So get your browsers ready, because tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.
