This year's Downtown Sound line-up announced
It looks like Millennium Park is taking the early spring as a sign that summer might come early, too. The Downtown Sound free concert series that began last June will start this May by mixing Montreal's The Besnard Lakes' psychedelia with the punk-rock kick of local band The Ponys. The variety doesn't stop there—the line-up is full of interesting combinations, like Kid Sister with the DIY rock-electronic stylings of Congo's Konono No. 1. Like last summer, the series will be held every Monday in the Pritzker Park Pavilion at Millennium Park. See the full line-up below, courtesy of the Sun-Times.
