Wesley Willis drawings for sale this weekend
Whether you just saw Wesley Willis's Joyrides at the Chicago International Film Festival a few weeks ago on a whim or have been a fan of the local legend's art and music for over a decade, this weekend yields a chance to scoop up some hard-to-find Willis drawings. Willis' longtime friend Paul Young has announced via e-mail a garage sale where he'll be selling a wide variety of knick-knacks, Chinese scroll paints, office supplies, and more, but, also, a collection of Wesley Willis drawings. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 22-23, though it's a bit of a drive: Young lives at 101 Orchard St. in Michigan City, Ind. Young also insists: "Cash and carry only, and no early birds, please." Say "rah," people.
