Win tickets to Japandroids or Flosstradamus on New Year’s Eve
Damn, dudes. Don't hurt 'em.
The AV Club has tickets for two New Year’s Eve shows. Japandroids will headline a rocker at Schubas that only Spinal Tap could seemingly match, as the event’s named “This One Goes To Eleven.” Chicago-based DJ duo Flosstradamus will headline a hip-shakin’ show at Lincoln Hall. To win, send an e-mail to ochicago@theonion.com with “Flosstradamus” or “Japandroids” in the subject line. Oh, and no kids allowed! The show at Schubas is 21+ and the show at Lincoln Hall is 18+.
Japandroids is a garage rock duo from Vancouver, British Columbia. In support of its first studio album, Post-Nothing, which was released in 2009, this guitar-and-drums two-piece has been touring extensively, playing more than 200 concerts in North America and Europe. Because of this, the only new material this twosome has released in 2010 consists of three singles. Keep your heads up, Japandroids fanatics; thinking about the memories you will make at this show will keep you occupied until the duo’s next release.
Flosstradamus is a local favorites, and it’s guaranteed to make you bump ’n’ grind. Between their remixing and constant touring, these dudes are, as always, Chicagoans to watch.
