Win tickets to JJ Grey & Mofro in Milwaukee, plus train tickets to get there
Each month, The Onion and The A.V. Club send one lucky winner and a friend to a concert in Milwaukee, also awarding a pair of round-trip Amtrak Hiawatha passes to help winners make the trek. This month, we’re giving away passes to see blues rockers JJ Grey & Mofro Jan. 19 at the Turner Hall Ballroom.
The seven-piece backwoods-and-barbecue outfit, fronted by Jacksonville, Florida, native JJ Grey, will arrive in Milwaukee on the fresher end of its three-month international tour. And to round out a perfect trifecta of saucy, smoldering soul-man sounds, JJ and the boys will be joined onstage by JC Brooks And The Uptown Sound (Chicago’s own Curtis Mayfield heirs apparent) and fellow Jacksonville blues journeyman Daryl Hance.
