Win tickets to Ólöf Arnalds at Schubas Oct. 18
On Oct. 18, the intoxicatingly heavenly Icelandic songstress Ólöf Arnalds will be performing at Schubas with folk artist Doug Paisley. The A.V. Icelandic folk artist Ólöf Arnalds has been around the Icelandic experimental music scene for a while, touring with múm since 2003 and having her 2007 solo debut, Við Og Við, which was produced by Sigur Rós’ Kjartan Sveinsson, named Record of the Year in Iceland. Arnalds’s soft voice over her minimalistic folksy acoustic guitar delivers an unbearably beautiful sound that transcends into otherworldly ambiance. Arnalds released her sophomore solo album, Innundir skinni, this September to critical acclaim.
