Die Antwoord, which means “The Answer” in Afrikaans, will visit Chicago as part of the the group’s short-and-sweet North American tour. The “Enter The Ninja” hip-hoppers will continue to educate ignorant Americans on the modern and trashy fresh ways of Zef.
It’s been an interesting 2011 for the Smith Westerns. Despite releasing their critically acclaimed sophomore LP, Dye It Blonde, perhaps the most talked-about event in the life and times of Smith Westerns was the band’s survival of a stage collapse in Belgium. The foursome was about to take the stage at the Pukkelpop Music Festival when storm winds caused the entire structure to collapse. The band lost all their equipment, but the members were unharmed physically.
