Farina began his career playing at local hotspots in his hometown, Chicago, while listening and experimenting with the sweet beats of De La Soul and the sounds of disco, jazz, and house music. He created and perfected his trademark blend of acid jazz and West Coast urban beats, dubbed Mushroom Jazz, in San Francisco, releasing a string of series of CDs under the same name. He’s a world traveler, prepared to wow dancers with sets lasting up to eight hours or playing two different shows in two different rooms at the same party.
