Blame Canada? More like thank Canada for this one: The A.V. Club is giving away tickets to two shows by some notable Canucks at the Double Door at the end of this month.

If only global politics meshed in real life as well as global music influences do on Souljazz Orchestra albums. The six-member Ottawa outfit—whose instrumental lineup features “vintage keyboards” and three varieties of saxophone—blends elements of jazz, soul, Latin, and African rhythms to create a potent, spicy final product that’s best enjoyed live.
