The Forms
The A.V. Club has a pair of tickets to give away from our pals The Forms to see them open up for The Dismemberment Plan. The show is at Metro on Sunday, Feb. 20 and is completely sold out, so fans are advised to jump on this offer with due speed. To enter, send an e-mail with “The Forms” in the subject line to ochicago@theonion.com. A winner will be drawn Thursday, Feb. 17.
Brooklyn indie rock band The Forms’ newest EP, Derealization, is due out on Feb. 15 and features guest appearances from the likes of Matt Beringer (The National), Craig Wedren (Shudder To Think), and members of Pattern Is Movement, Dirty Projectors, and St. Vincent. Their previous albums, 2003’s Icasus and 2007’s The Forms, have received stellar reviews.
The Dismemberment Plan is an indie band hailing from Washington D.C. After a hiatus from 2003 to 2010—with a brief reunion in 2007—the group is back together and crossing the country selling out venues. They haven’t released a new album since 2003’s A People’s History Of The Dismemberment Plan, but fans still go crazy for the band’s classic ’90s indie rock.
