Win tickets to see The Promise Ring in Milwaukee, plus train passes to get there
It’s been more than a decade since The Promise Ring disbanded. After helping usher in the age of emo with albums like 1997’s Nothing Feels Good and 1999’s Very Emergency, the Milwaukee-based foursome drifted off into several different (but successful) directions. But this February, TPR will reunite (albeit briefly) and bring its ’90s-tastic indie-pop shuffle back to where it began.
Each month, The Onion and The A.V. Club will send one winner and a friend to a concert in Milwaukee, along with a pair of round-trip Amtrak Hiawatha tickets. This month, enter for a chance to see The Promise Ring’s reunion show at Turner Hall on Friday, Feb. 24. E-mail rsvpmilwaukee@theonion.com with “The Promise Ring in Milwaukee” in the subject line to enter to win.
