Win tickets to The Twelves and Junior Boys at The Mid
Junior Boys
What do two Brazilian DJ’s known for remixing of songs by the likes of The Beatles, Radiohead, Nirvana, and M.I.A. have in common with two Canadian, indie electronic-pop musicians? Besides residing on the Western side of the hemisphere, they will be at The Mid this Friday, Aug. 19—and four pairs of lucky readers of The A.V. Club will win free tickets.
The Hamilton, Ontario native Junior Boys are coming fresh off their fourth album, It’s All True, which was released in June. Two of their past albums, So This Is Goodbye and Begone Dull Care, cracked the top 10 in the Billboard Electronic/Dance chart; they peaked at No. 10 and No. 6 respectively. On the Brazilian side of things, The Twelves are fully committed to remixing and consistently receive positive reviews for their shows.
For a chance to win tickets, e-mail The A.V. Club at ochicago@theonion.com, and put the words “The Twelves” in the subject line. Please include your full name in the body of the message.
